Question:As far as I understood, Eurepgap Certification is allowed only for growers. Our company is a Trader, we export a large variety of fruits, which are bought from several/different growers. If those growers (who do not export directly) are Eurepgap certified, can we, as a Trader but not grower, inform their Certification Number when required by our clients in Europe? And if our fruit's supplier is another export company Eurepgap Certified, can we use its Certification number as we export fruit supplyed by a certified supplier? Thanks in advance for your attention. kind regards, Denise Braga Answer:Yes, only a farmer or farmer group can be certified against EurepGAP as it is a pre-farm gate standard. You can forward the registration numbers of these farmers to your clients, as long as you make it clear that you source from certified farms and are not certified yourselves. Back |
