Our firm is a trading company that buys and exports fruits from different Argentine growers to Europe. Is option 2 applicable even if the organisation is just a trading company (no QMS, no producer contracts) or it is for groups of farmers only?

Answer:

The Option 2 is Farmer Group Certification. A Farmer Group can also trade when it is a trading company. If your company is a trading company (without farming) and does not produce, you cannot receive the GLOBALGAP certificate. GLOBALGAP is a standard only applicable on farm level.
